Join us in celebrating our 25th Anniversary of the Children’s Advocacy Center of East Hawai’i on Sunday, February 15 at 5:30pm in the Hilo Hawaiian Moku Ola Room. Three worthy individuals, Joe Hanley, the Friends initial Board President along with Jane Webb and Ann Roney, our first hard working volunteers, will be honored for their enthusiasm and dedication.

Through the unique partnership of this Center and a private non profit “Friends” group, the Center provides a safe, neutral place for child victims of sexual abuse, serious physical abuse and child witnesses of violent crime to be interviewed by the police and/or child welfare services, and meet with prosecutors and victim advocates. The “Friends” support the Center and assist identified children of abuse with emergency needs and life enhancements.

Your support of this recognition dinner helps the Friends meet the many and varied requests for assistance to child victims. We hope to se you there!
